The Avenue Dog Walking Group provides an excellent opportunity to meet your neighbours (and their canine companions) as well as spend some quality time walking around the neighbourhood.  How is this crime prevention?  People committing criminal activity in the community do not like to be seen.  Therefore, when people come out of their homes and walk their dogs it puts eyes on the streets and diminishes this negative element.

The Avenue Dog Walking Group meets every Monday evening.  For those who live towards the east end of 118th Avenue they will meet at 6:30pm in front of St Alphonsus Church (11828-85 Street).  The group will then walk west along 118th Avenue until they meet up with those who live toward the west end of the Avenue at The Carrot (9210-118 Ave) at 6:45pm.

*Please note: if the temperature is below -15 degrees with a wind-chill, or if it is pouring rain, the dog walk will be cancelled.
