Come Colour 118th Avenue Sidewalks!
Community Response to Urban Disorder (CRUD) invites community residents,
artists, families, and anyone interested in Chalk’n up the Ave to come
colour 118th Avenue sidewalks on Sunday, June 21, 2009 from 1:00 PM to
3:00 PM starting outside the Alberta Avenue Community Centre (9210-118
Avenue). This event brings community together and offers friends,
families, and neighbours an enjoyable afternoon creating freestyle chalk
drawings. Chalk will be provided. So bring your creativity, and come and
have fun!
This Avenue Takeover, Chalk’n up the Ave, is an initiative which
encourages community members to reclaim public space and promote a healthy
community through a unified presence. All families are welcome to stay
after the Chalk’n up the Ave event and join CRUD’s weekly Park Crawl
beginning at 3:00 PM.
Community Response to Urban Disorder (CRUD) is a not for profit
